As a naturalized citizen who’s grateful to be in the United States, I decided to return the favor. I joined the U.S. Army on March 4, 2024 and completed Basic Combat Training on May 16, 2024. After receiving training at the Officer Candidate School for twelve weeks, I commissioned as an Active Duty officer in August 2024.
Since then, I have worked in the Battalion S3 (Operations) shop for three months and led a Platoon as a Platoon Leader for twelve months. I had a blast with my Soldiers, and I loved caring for them while accomplishing missions.
Currently, I am a Battalion Assistant S4 (Logistics) officer, helping the unit deploy and receive some of the most expensive pieces of equipment in the U.S. Army. I will soon become an Officer in Charge for the shop, filling the position usually assigned to Captains.
